White Affinity group will be a space to process white fragility and resistance to change, as well as learn how to be better accomplices to their BIPOC peers. BIPOC Affinity will be a space for BIPOC-identified members to build community, vent grievances, and discuss change without needing to be mindful of white feelings or repercussions. Both spaces will be mindful and respectful of the intersections of gender, sexuality, religion, ability, size, and other marginalized identities throughout discussions. TISE Consulting and Therapy aims to improve personal well-being and working environments for individuals and organizations by focusing on trauma-informed, socially-equitable approaches. Social equity and mental health are intrinsically linked. By increasing organizational awareness and capacity for anti-oppressive and trauma-focused approaches, organizations can increase employee satisfaction, diversity, retention, profits, and more. By reflecting on internal thoughts and sensations, individuals can learn to navigate the emotional turbulence of life in a value-oriented manner. TISE vows to meet each individual and organization where they are with compassion and patience, while encouraging accountability and measurable progress.
