White Affinity group will be a space to process white fragility and resistance to change, as well as learn how to be better accomplices to their BIPOC peers. BIPOC Affinity will be a space for BIPOC-identified members to build community, vent grievances, and discuss change without needing to be mindful of white feelings or repercussions. Both spaces will be mindful and respectful of the intersections of gender, sexuality, religion, ability, size, and other marginalized identities throughout discussions. Meetings will center trauma-informed and restorative justice practices.
Learning Objectives
- White Affinity attendees will process white fragility and resistance to change, as well as learn how to be better accomplices to their BIPOC peers.
