NASW-WA is pleased to offer the following course:

The discrimination of transgender and gender non-conforming people experience creates an extraordinary stress on psychological and physical health. But it also creates a stress on uninformed providers who are not provided with the necessary education to provide competent services to gender diverse individuals.

Through this training, participants will learn how to create a more inclusive environment for transgender and gender nonconforming people and will gain the necessary skills to provide affirming services and care to all people, regardless of where each client falls on the gender spectrum.

About the Presenter:  Matt Goldenberg, Psy.D Matt is a Licensed Psychologist specializing in affirmative care for transgender and gender diverse individuals. Matt is a strong advocate for the right of transgender people to access equitable and competent health and mental health care. He is passionate about education and has provided training's on gender diversity to a wide array of audiences since 1999. Matt has a private practice in Olympia, WA. Matt received his Bachelor's degree in Human Services from Lesley University. He received a Masters of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis on Existential-Phenomenology from Seattle University. Matt completed his Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from the Wright Institute, a program accredited by the American Psychological Association.
